Our pastor, Duane Logsdon, has served Cornerstone Baptist Church since August 2004. He and his wife Jennifer have two children, Jonathan and Anna. Pastor Duane has been in the ministry for twelve years. He graduated from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, where he received a Master of Divinity from the School of Theology. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry in the Billy Graham School of Missions, Evangelism, and Church Growth at Southern Seminary. As Cornerstone’s first full-time pastor, Duane has a passion and a vision to see God’s church fulfill the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.

Cornerstone Baptist Church is a relatively new fellowship with a history that dates back only to Spring 2002. Constituted as a church in Spring 2003, Cornerstone is a body of believers dedicated to being Great Commandment and Great Commission Christians. Our foundation for worship, evangelism, fellowship, ministry, and discipleship is Jesus Christ , the chief Cornerstone, as we read Isaiah 28:16: “Therefore thus says the Lord of God, Behold, I am laying in Zion Stone, a tested stone, a costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. He who believes in it will not be disturbed” (NASB) Our motto, “ Building lives on Him” is also a reflection of this inspired verse- “Him” being Jesus Christ, the “author and perfecter of faith”(Heb 12:2) and the One in whom we “are being built together into dwelling of God in the Spirit” (Eph 2:22).
In August 2004, Cornerstone called its first full-time Pastor, Duane Logsdon. Cornerstone was voted on and officially welcomed into the Savannah Baptist Association in October 2004.
Cornerstone meets for Worship and Bible study on Sundays and Wednesdays at the church property located at 2160 Hwy 21 North, with each occasion offering opportunities for all age groups. Various other activities and opportunities for service are held during the week
